Why should I pressure wash my home?
Rain, snow, sun, leaves, plants, mulch and grass can impact the look of your home. Regular pressure washing removes mold, mildew, stains and algae to make a healthier outside environment and instantly boost the curb appeal of your home.
Why should I pay a company when I have my own pressure washer?
Using your own power washer may sound quick, easy and affordable yet it is often a challenging project once you start.
Things to consider are: How much pressure should you use on vinyl, brick, cement, wood without causing damage? What cleaning solution will get rid of mold, mildew and algae and not kill my landscaping? Can it reach the top of my house and/or gutter? How much time will it take me? A professional pressure washing company understands all the variables of each project, has safe cleaning solutions and frees up your weekend to enjoy your home.
Why is there mold on the north side of my house?
Damp Ohio weather is tough on your home between the rain and snow. The north side, the shadiest side of your house, is prone to mold and mildew from prolonged periods of moisture with the least amount of sun. Mold and mildew can create allergies and respiratory issues which can spread to the inside of your home. Pressure washing your home every year keeps the outside of your home safe and healthy.
Will power washing harm my landscaping?
We rinse trees, shrubs, flowers or vegetation prior to pressure washing. We use biodegradable cleaning solutions that are safe for your landscaping.
How should I prepare my house for pressure washing?
We email our “How to prepare your house for Pressure Washing” guide before your cleaning so you can be prepared.
Do I have to remove all the furniture on my deck?
Items do not need to be removed from the deck. However we recommend you move patio furniture, grills, planters, etc away from the house.
How much water is used when pressure washing my house?
An average 2300 square foot home uses 300-400 gallons of water to pressure wash, approximately $7 on an average water bill.
Do I need to clean my composite deck and fencing?
Yes, composite decking is low maintenance but still gets dirty from being outside. Power washing removes dust, dirt, leaf stains and mold to keep your deck bright and fresh.
Will you remove the paint from my deck when pressure washing?
No, we use a Soft Wash System with a 400 PSI. It may wash away any paint or stain that is flaking on your deck, fence or shed. It will not remove the protective coating on your deck or treated wood.
Pets and people outside during my pressure washing?
We move long hoses around your yard and spray from a distance so please keep all pets, children and people inside while we are working for your safety and ours. Our Cleaning Technician will let you know when they arrive and when they leave if you have any questions.
Does pressure washing remove Shotgun Fungus, the little black dots all over my siding?
Shotgun Fungus or Artillery Fungus are little black dots that stick to your vinyl siding. This comes from garden beds and mulch and is a fungus that shoots spores onto your house. Unfortunately, nothing removes Shotgun Fungus. The best prevention or to stop the fungus is to use non-organic matter like decorate stones or rubber mulch. If you choose to use mulch, leave space between your flower beds and your siding.
Which should I do first, pressure washing or window cleaning?
We recommend pressure washing first. If you remove your screens, we will rinse the dirt from the outside channels of the window sills. There will be water spots left on windows and we are happy to recommend a window cleaning company.
Can you pressure wash in the rain?
We will pressure wash in a light rain. For the safety of our Cleaning Technicians we will not pressure wash in a heavy downpour or when there is lightening. We will reschedule if there are weather issues.
Sediment and water pressure can impact your cleaning. Please call to discuss as each situation is different.
How often should I get my house professional pressure washed?
We recommend every 1- 2 years. Annually if you have more shade, wooded property, trees with sap that touch the house or see mold, mildew or moss on a regular basis. Every other year is recommended to keep your home looking fresh from dirt, stains and allergens.
Can you remove the black lines on my gutters?
These stains are caused by contaminants like leaves, bird droppings, dirt and mold running over your roofing shingles and dripping over the side of the gutters. Our soft wash system removes 90% of these black lines. A separate process using a soft brush and rinse can be added upon your request. Some gutters cannot be reached due to height, trees and bushes.
Do you clean the inside of our gutters?
We do not clean the inside of gutters but would be happy to refer you to a reputable company who specializes in gutter cleaning.
